Workshops
I aim to create experiential spaces where there is no shortage of time, shrines of sensitivity and playfulness. Spaces of approximations, where one isn’t required to perform or achieve, and is free to explore. Generally speaking, the intensity of the stimulation is low, the rhythm is slow, and there are many pauses to notice echoes of internal happenings: miniature movements, subtle sensations, obscure impulses, faint emotions, fleeting thoughts and words which are not yet comprehensible.
My workshops are Dojos for training in processing while experiencing and not only after the experience is over. For developing the capacity to dive into details and nuances, and dwell there. The skill of posing questions without formulating an answer. The ability to listen to others very carefully, to be listened to gently, to play and connect, to hold and be held respectfully and fully.
The frame of these experiments is Sexuality, a Search for (an)other kind of Sex and intimacy. I am very interested in examining social constructions and the sexual culture experientially, finding out what parts of them align with me right now and what is forcing me into being and behaving in ways I don’t actually want to. What to keep and what to set aside, to look for ever changing and individual answers, and to accompany and support others while they are exploring themselves.
My research approach and facilitation style is very much grounded in the Feldenkrais Method. I also draw a lot of inspiration from ideas from the Taiji practice of Tuishou (pushing hands) and Contemporary Dance, in particular Instant Composition.
