Family Constellation: A Somatic Introduction

Family Constellation is an experiential modality of self-inquiry. Rather than talking about things abstractly, it offers a direct and embodied way of bringing personal questions into the here and now. It invites us to look beyond thought patterns, and tap instead into the feelings and hidden loyalties connected to them. So that it becomes possible to explore where these are coming from and why they are here. 

This can support in making clearer distinctions between different emotions and sensations and between ourselves and others. This clarity could eventually translate into clearer boundaries between what belongs to me and my life, and what came from somewhere else and could be returned respectfully. Boundaries that foster and enable connection and relationships, also to things it might be difficult to stay in touch with.

The practice itself is simple. We use objects or people to represent elements of a system we want to explore. By placing them in space, a living configuration emerges. We then engage with this system through movement, attention, and bodily responses — playfully, respectfully, and without forcing interpretation. Always aiming at acknowledging what is,  seeing what emerges from there and following it.

In this evening workshop, we will offer a slow, somatic introduction to constellation work. We will begin with a gentle movement exploration to tune into sensations, impulses, and cultivate spatial awareness. From this embodied ground, we will gradually move into family constellation practice, exploring phenomena such as spatial transference — first individually, then with partners, and eventually with the whole group.

The workshop will take place on 7.03, 16:30 - 20:00. Price for this event is on a sliding scale 25 - 50. Pay what you can. If you want to participate, but finance is the barrier - I invite you to reach out. We will find a solution.
